As we all know the Russian River area is prone to natural disasters and other emergencies. Earthquakes, mudslides, fires, floods, winter storms, and power outages are not uncommon. It is especially important to be prepared prior to a natural disaster, or other emergency, occurring. Without proper preparedness the health and well being of you and your family could be at risk. Please download and refer to the guides below in order to be better prepared. Please contact us with any questions regarding preparedness. Flood Information: Before flood season have on hand: 1. An extra supply of your daily prescriptions 2. Bottled water 3. Extra, non-perishable, food items 4. If you have small children, have an extra supply of diapers and formula/food 5. Flashlights and battery operated radios 6. Extra batteries If you have a serious medical condition and live in an area that floods, for your safety we urge you to make arrangements to stay with family or friends that live away from areas known to flood. If you are new to our river area, welcome!, and we encourage you to talk to your neighbors. Many of them will have already been present during floods and know how your area is effected. Some areas are inaccessible for days, some areas don't flood but residents can't get out (or in) due to road closures.
